Second Club Members Meeting :: Posted Tue 8th Apr
On Thursday 17 April, 7.30pm.
This is your chance to input into the future of the club.
Key issue raised at the first meeting - how do we convert more trainees into
active members.
How do we get more members sailing and involved in running the club.
This is the chance for feedback from club committees on what we have done
and explore how to improve matters.
Also, the chance to get involved. This year will be the year of the cat,
with one World and two national cat champs (F16, Tornado and A class), not
to mention the Welsh Cat Championship, Gower Challenge and the Welsh Games.
So come along to see how you get involved if you want to.
It is your club, so how do we improve the club make it more attractive for
members - better fixtures and fittings, improve the roof, live music,
quiz's, improved gym, better showers. What other features should we have in
club. Is it big enough or too big? What do you the members really want.
Should we have a formal club dinner, DJ's and dancing into the night at a
hotel?
Should we have prize giving's in the club - annually, twice or three times
per year.
This is your chance to have an input into the direction of the club.

Club meeting - everybody welcome :: Posted Sat 29th Dec 2007
Which way for MYC?
An open meeting as part of developing a strategic plan for the club will be held at 7.30pm on Thursday 3 January 2008.
The club is at a cross roads where it has opportunities for the development
of sailing and its future long term prosperity. This meeting will cover all
aspects of the club both on the water and off the water activities.
Does the club deliver what you need as a member?
How can we provide more to our existing members?
How can we make the club more attractive to new members?
How can we improve the club and its activities?
What resources do we need?
How do we obtain any additional resources we require?
What should be our priorities?
Lots of questions, but we are looking for ideas. Please attend this meeting
on the clubs long term future.
If you cannot attend, please contribute in writing before or after the
meeting (there will be various ideas published before and after the event).
Tim C. Claypole.
Commodore.
