The time is nearly upon us to #DustOffTheBoat and get on the water with #MYCRacing once again. Next weekend sees us hold our annual open #MYCRegatta, and this time we have the honour of also hosting a 4000 and an Osprey Open event at the same time. The Racing There are a total of 5 races schedules across the weekend, 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, and early starts aren’t on the agenda so that we can party hard afterwards. Racing on both days starts at 12pm, with a target of 45 minutes per race. Courses will be windward/leeward for the catamarans and the 4000’s, and triangle for the rest, but check out the briefing just in case they change! The social With an action packed weekend on the water, it’s important to keep you all entertained when off. The galley is open for breakfast, lunch and we will have a special pre-bookable selection for dinner on Saturday night. Come and relax on Saturday night on the roof, have a dance to some of the tunes on the juke box, and soak in the lovely atmosphere of a busy event. Running the show As ever, we rely on volunteers to run the show, be that on or off of the water. There are a lot of places to fill, if you’re around it would be great if you could fill out this short form so that we can get you to help. It’s been a good turnout so far, with a number of new members offering their services to come and help both afloat and ashore, but many hands make light work and all that. The Forms It’s always nice to know how many people are coming, so here’s an online entry form to fill in. It’s quick and straightforward, and does make our lives easier. We’ve also set up a crew list, so if you’re looking for a sail or need a crew, sign up here. If you’re available to volunteer, please fill this one in.
