Open Regatta and Merlin Rocket Silver Tiller

We would like to welcome the Merlin Rockets back to Mumbles Yacht Club, along with all of the other classes who are coming to compete.

Hopefully you're looking forwards to coming, it's nice to be back in full swing running big sailing events again.

The line up currently looks like this, but is subject to change:

If you're after the race documents, here they are:

What does it cost, and what do I get?

The cost of the event is £20 for double handers, £15 for single handers, providing that you register prior to the weekend. This is handy for us knowing who's coming, what prizes we need to get, things like that. It increases by £5 for on-the-day entries.

There's live music on Saturday night.

The galley will be open to purchase breakfast rolls both mornings, and available for food after racing.

The bar will be well stocked, and we have booked fine weather (although not as fine as last time the Merlins came, when it was a little glassy! Still, the dolphins in the bay did keep us amused, and the swimming was amazing!)

If you've not visited before, there's some information about Mumbles and where you can go here.

If you've got a camper van, as long as it fits in the car parking bays you can use it there (with appropriate pay and display), but for more space there's a car park a short walk away called Bracelet Bay car park, which the Council prefer you to use.

There are a number of great guest houses in Mumbles, along with plenty of camp sites on and around the Gower peninsula.

Looking forwards to seeing you all again!

A number of our members and friends have accommodation in the area, and some have put on special rates for you to come and stay during the event.
